2011 Winners
Wall of Legends is a 3 dimensional display of America’s first generation of Car Kustomizers. These men created a sport and lifestyle all in their young teenage years; for all of us to enjoy and pass on. We have captured the life they have given to the sport through the casting of their hand in repose. Some hold lead; while another holds an apple, some hold paint guns while another pin stripes. The hand is mounted on a shelf/wall plaque and made of walnut. Atop the casted form is a picture of the kid builder, in most cases showing him doing what he loves; Kustomizing. Below the shelf is the engraved plaque stating name-surname/title and year of induction.
There will be 25 of these extraordinarily creative individuals on the Wall of Legends display.
2011 Inductees
5 Cackle Dragsters will be on hand to ignite the glorifying heyday of drag racing in So. Cal. Each night they will fire up in the outdoor Horsepower Corral to make ya’ cry with the joy of nitro at sundown.
Partnering with NHRA Museum, we have created a 24’ wide by 80’ long starting line of the most famous drag strip in the West. See 8 cars on the asphalt strip complete with metal guard rail-hanging starting light with recorded 1968 introduction of Don “the Snake” Prudnomme over the track speakers.
