The vehicle must be a newly built or recently completed hot rod. Built style must represent the traditional style of hot rod building in the spirit of the 40’s, 50’s or early 60’s era. Build does not necessarily have to be “period perfect” but must respect and promote the traditional style of hot rod building and design. Paying special attention to hand crafted details, creative chassis design and engineering, and overall unique design elements. A three person committee, including Troy Ladd of HHR, will select the winner.

Up to $5,000.00 Cash Award
This prestigious award is open to all vehicles (excluding all motorcycles and boats), vehicle must be a Full, Radical, or Hand Built automobile utilizing Coach Work Craftsmanship. All Diamond Cup entries must be operable. They must, drive forward and reverse, turn left and right, under their own power and be able to stop using their own braking system. The selection will be based on the quality of engineering, craftsmanship of details and their related fit and finish within the overall automobile. All Diamond Cup entries will be displayed in 20 x 20’s and must supply their display (Photo required). The Diamond Cup winner is determined by a team of judges, they do not judge on personal preference, but by a point system to determine the winner.
